These are a great pair of Vintage Taxco Mexican Sterling Silver & Turquoise Star Pierced Earrings, measuring approx.  1" X 1".    These are marked 925, which is STERLING SILVER, and are also marked MEXICO, and are also marked TA-75 the T stands for TAXCO, the A is the first letter of the last name of the Artist, and the 75 indicates that this artist was the 75th person with a last name beginning with A to register in Taxco as a Silversmith.    Very nice high quality collectible earrings.    

Please remember that anything handmade is not perfect. There may be some flaws, mostly from manufacture, and possibly from age. I will try to note anything that I see as a major flaw.

Coin Silver is used a lot in the making of jewelry, especially Native American pieces.    Coin Silver is 800 parts to 1000, ie 800/1000 pure silver, whereas Sterling Silver is 925 parts to 1000, ie 925/1000 pure silver.
