This is a great Vintage Taxco Mexican Mexico Sterling Silver and Blue and Purple Onyx Ring measuring approx. 3/8" at its widest and marked 925 which is STERLING SILVER and is also marked MEXICO, and is also marked TF-49, the T stands for TAXCO, the F represents the first letter in the last name of the artist, and the number 49 indicates that this artist was the 49th person with a last name beginning with F to Register as a Silversmith in TAXCO. Ring is a size 9. Great looking Ring!
Please remember that anything handmade is not perfect. There may be some flaws, mostly from manufacture, and possibly from age. I will try to note anything that I see as a major flaw.

Coin Silver is used a lot in the making of jewelry, especially Native American pieces. Coin Silver is 800 parts to 1000, ie 800/1000 pure silver, whereas Sterling Silver is 925 parts to 1000, ie 925/1000 pure silver.
