This is a great looking Vintage Taxco Mexican Sterling Silver & Turquoise Bangle Bracelet measuring approx. 7 1/2" measuring from the inside X 5/8" at its widest, and is marked MEXICO, and is also marked 925 which is STERLING SILVER, and is also marked STERLING, and also has the artist signature which appears to be MON, but not sure, please see photos, and sorry best pics I can get, and is also marked TS-79, the T stands for Taxco, the S for the first letter of the last name of the Artist, and the number 79 indicates that this was the 79th artist with a last name beginning with the letter S to register as a Silversmith in Taxco. Stone appears to be crushed Turquoise. Clasp works fine. This weighs approx. 40 grams. Absolutely outstanding Bracelet!
Please remember that anything handmade is not perfect. There may be some flaws, mostly from manufacture, and possibly from age. I will try to note anything that I see as a major flaw.
Please check out my other items.
Please NOTE, I do not clean any of the jewelry as some collectors prefer to leave the original patina on the piece.
Coin Silver is used a lot in the making of jewelry, especially Native American pieces. Coin Silver is 800 parts to 1000, ie 800/1000 pure silver, whereas Sterling Silver is 925 parts to 1000, ie 925/1000 pure silver.
