This is a great Vintage, Mexican sterling silver ring. This ring measures approx. 3/8" wide. This has the old Mexican eagle mark on it, which dates it sometime between the 1940's and 70's. The letter "3" within the eagle mark identifies it as being made in TAXCO. Very nice collectible piece, and all handmade.

Coin Silver is used a lot in the making of jewelry, especially Native American pieces. Coin Silver is 800 parts to 1000, ie 800/1000 pure silver, whereas Sterling Silver is 925 parts to 1000, ie 925/1000 pure silver.
