These are a great pair of Vintage Taxco Mexican Sterling Silver Black Onyx Earrings measuring approx. 7/8" X 5/8, and are marked 925 which is STERLING SILVER, and also marked MEXICO, and also marked TB-152, the T stands for Taxco, theB for the first letter of the last name of the artist, and the number 178 indicates that this was the 152nd person to register as a Silversmith in Taxco with the last name beginning with the letter B. These weigh approx. 15 grams. Absolutely outstanding Earrings!
Please remember that anything handmade is not perfect. There may be some flaws, mostly from manufacture, and possibly from age. I will try to note anything that I see as a major flaw.

Coin Silver is used a lot in the making of jewelry, especially Native American pieces. Coin Silver is 800 parts to 1000, ie 800/1000 pure silver, whereas Sterling Silver is 925 parts to 1000, ie 925/1000 pure silver.
