This is a great Vintage Sterling Silver and Gold Filled 1937 High School Ring measuring approx. 5/8" at its widest, and marked Ster which is STERLING SILVER, and also marked 1/20th 10K,and also has the initials of the owner, H. P, sorry cannot read any name for the HS, pretty worn piece. This is a size 5 1/2. This ring is highly tarnished and needs a good cleaning. Very nice Ring.
Please remember that anything handmade is not perfect. There may be some flaws, mostly from manufacture, and possibly from age. I will try to note anything that I see as a major flaw.

Coin Silver is used a lot in the making of jewelry, especially Native American pieces. Coin Silver is 800 parts to 1000, ie 800/1000 pure silver, whereas Sterling Silver is 925 parts to 1000, ie 925/1000 pure silver.
