This is a great Vintage Navajo Native American Southwest Southwestern Sterling Silver and Turqouise Ring measuring approx. 1" at its widest, and although not marked as to silver content, I will guarantee that this ring is STERLING SILVER. Sorry I don't know if the stone is how it was put in or if there is damage, but looks to me like its the way the silversmith wanted it to look, but thats just my opinion. This ring is a size 6 1/4. Very nice collectible piece, and all handmade.

Coin Silver is used a lot in the making of jewelry, especially Native American pieces. Coin Silver is 800 parts to 1000, ie 800/1000 pure silver, whereas Sterling Silver is 925 parts to 1000, ie 925/1000 pure silver.
