These are great Vintage, Screw Back, earrings, measuring approx. 1" X 1/2". Sorry, metal is not marked and most likely is not STERLING. This is quite a Beautiful set of circa 1940's screw back earrings. Screw backs work fine. It appears that someone acquired the backs and had the turquoise stones and made themselves these earrings.
Very nice collectible piece. Please remember that anything handmade is not perfect. There may be some flaws, mostly from manufacture, and possibly from age. I will try to note anything that I see as a major flaw.
