This is a Great UKCAS Southwestern style VintageSterling Silver Ring. Stone is turquoise. Size is 8 1/2, and the top measures approx. 1 1/2" X 5/8". This is marked UKCAS, and is also marked STERLING. Please note that the fissures on the stone are natural and that this stone was chosen because of its imperfections and the idea that the fissures allowed the spirit of the piece to escape if it was not happy. Very nice handmade piece.

Coin Silver is used a lot in the making of jewelry, especially Native American pieces. Coin Silver is 800 parts to 1000, ie 800/1000 pure silver, whereas Sterling Silver is 925 parts to 1000, ie 925/1000 pure silver.
