These are a fantastic pair of Vintage Mexican Taxco Sterling Silver and Lapis Pierced Earrings, measuring approx. 5/8" X 3/8" at their widest, and are marked 925 which is STERLING SILVER and are also marked MEXICO and are also marked TM-198, the T stands for TAXCO, the M for the first letter in the last name of the artist, and the 198 indicates that this artist was the 198th person with a last name beginning with M to register as a silversmith in TAXCO. These are wonderful earrings!
Please remember that anything handmade is not perfect. There may be some flaws, mostly from manufacture, and possibly from age. I will try to note anything that I see as a major flaw.

Coin Silver is used a lot in the making of jewelry, especially Native American pieces. Coin Silver is 800 parts to 1000, ie 800/1000 pure silver, whereas Sterling Silver is 925 parts to 1000, ie 925/1000 pure silver.
