This is a Great Vintage Mexican Sterling Silver Money Clip, measuring approx. 2" X 1", and this is marked 925, which stands for STERLING SILVER, HUECHO EN MEXICO, meaning MADE IN MEXICO. The stone is ABALONE. Clips hold fine! This is just a wonderful handmade money clip, and thanks for looking.

Coin Silver is used a lot in the making of jewelry, especially Native American pieces. Coin Silver is 800 parts to 1000, ie 800/1000 pure silver, whereas Sterling Silver is 925 parts to 1000, ie 925/1000 pure silver.
