This is a Great Vintage Anson Sterling Silver pen that is Mint in the Box MIB.      I think this probably dates to the 1960's time frame, but I could be a little off.   The cartridge with the ink should probaby be replaced as this does not write.    These are marked ANSON, STERLING, MADE IN USA.     Please check out the matching Pencil!     Great piece, and an American made pen at that!

Coin Silver is used a lot in the making of jewelry, especially Native American pieces.    Coin Silver is 800 parts to 1000, ie 800/1000 pure silver, whereas Sterling Silver is 925 parts to 1000, ie 925/1000 pure silver.
