These are a great pair of Vintage Taxco Handmade Mexican Mexico Tribal Gothic Sterling Silver and Black Onyx Earrings measuring approx. 1 1/8" X 1 1/8" at their widest and are marked marked 925 which is Sterling Silver, and have been tested and found to be Sterling Silver, and are also marked Mexico, and are also marked TG-04, the T stands for Taxco, the G for the first initial in the last name of the artist, and the number 04 indicates that this artist was the 4th person in Taxco to register with a last name beginning with G. Great looking pierced Earrings!
Please remember that anything handmade is not perfect. There may be some flaws, mostly from manufacture, and possibly from age. I will try to note anything that I see as a major flaw.
Please check out my other items.
Please NOTE, I do not clean any of the jewelry as some collectors prefer to leave the original patina on the piece.
Coin Silver is used a lot in the making of jewelry, especially Native American pieces. Coin Silver is 800 parts to 1000, ie 800/1000 pure silver, whereas Sterling Silver is 925 parts to 1000, ie 925/1000 pure silver.
